Our commercial kitchen offers vegetarian dishes made fresh from our produce, currently as curbside pick up or delivery only but normally our meals can be enjoyed anywhere on campus along with a drink from one of our neighbors.
Copeland Springs Kitchen is seeking an experienced lead cook/kitchen manager. You will work alongside the farmer/owner to develop the menus and the creative use of produce we have in season on the farm. We have a base menu we will work from for daily meals but the efficient use of extra produce or "seconds" is where you can really shine.
This is a small commercial kitchen and teamwork and ability to multi-task are critical. Attention to detail, friendly demeanor and attention to a positive customer experience are crucial.
Our farm is Certified Naturally Grown, meaning we use organic practices and care about the health of our soils, the food we produce, our customers and our staff. We grow a variety of vegetables/fruits, mushrooms and cut flowers.
Currently with our limited hours and options, we expect ~20 hrs/wk with options to expand as we open up fully.
Lead Cook/Kitchen Manager Duties include
Working closely with farm team to help plan the menus around seasonal produce
Food preparation, presentation and (high) quality control
Maintaining a high level of cleanliness in the kitchen
Ensuring efficient use of immediately available produce
Leading kitchen team
-Prefer a minimum of 2 years experience in kitchen/restaurant/food service.
-Availability for evening and weekend shifts
-Flexibility, creativity and collaboration
-Strong customer service skills
